US 30 East Canton By-pass

US 30 TRAC presentationOn Oct. 13, 2015, Steve Paquette traveled to Columbus with Commissioner Richard Regula, representatives from ODOT District 4, Stark County Regional Planning, Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and NEOTEC requesting funds from the Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) to extend the four-lane US-30 highway 2.8 miles from Trump Avenue on the west side of East Canton to the intersection of Route 30 and State Route 44 on the east side of East Canton. TRAC received 25 applications requesting $636 million for funding of various road projects throughout the State and each group was allowed 20 minutes to sell their project to TRAC. This is a highly competitive process so SDB stepped up to fund a professionally developed PowerPoint presentation focusing on new business growth in energy related to the Utica Shale development and the HOF Village which we believe will significantly impact traffic flows on US-30 with many new HOF inductees coming from the both the Steelers and Ravens in the next few years.
