Diebold Forms New Joint Venture With Inspur - On Dec. 18, Diebold, Incorporated, announced it is forming a new joint venture with a subsidiary of the Inspur Group, one of China’s leading IT companies, to provide ATMs and kiosks to Chinese markets. Inspur Group, a Chinese cloud computing and data center company, will hold a majority stake of 51 percent in the new joint venture, which will be named Inspur Financial Information Systems, Ltd. Also, Diebold will serve as the exclusive distributor outside of China for all products developed by the new joint venture, which will be sold under the Diebold brand. “Partnering with Inspur enhances our competitive position and deepens the relationship with our customers in China,” said Andy W. Mattes, Diebold president and chief executive officer. The agreement is anticipated to be finalized in mid-2016, pending regulatory and other approvals, with plans to begin manufacturing and distribution activity immediately after regulatory approvals. United Airlines and American Airlines Commence Nonstop Service to New York/Newark From CAK - CAK customers have enjoyed low fares and big jet service to this amazing city since 2002. Deville School of Business/Walsh University Launches Garage Student Innovation Center – Four DeVille School of Business students have transformed unused garage space at the St. Katharine Drexel House into a student-directed innovation lab and hope to follow in the successful footsteps of Amazon, Apple, Google and other companies that were born in a garage. The mission of “The Garage” is to “instill entrepreneurial and creative thinking in all Walsh University students who desire to sincerely pursue innovation while fostering a community of knowledge, imagination and collaboration.” Read more at Walsh University's website.

Mount Union Football Wins 12th National Title – Mount Union capped a perfect 15-0 season winning the 43rd Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl 49-35 over St. Thomas to capture its record 12th NCAA Division III national championship Friday at Salem Stadium in Salem, VA. The win also gives¬†head coach¬†Vince Kehres his first national title in three years as the head coach of the Purple Raiders. The Purple Raiders rode stellar performances from game MVP quarterback Taurice Scott (Alliance/Alliance) and running back Logan Nemeth (McBain, MI/MI) on offense and a swarming, clutch defensive effort to win their first national title since 2012 when the Raiders beat St. Thomas 28-10 For game recap, see Mount Union’s press release.
